Everything you need to log in, check your marks, reset your PIN, and troubleshoot your student portal β written specifically for KSD TVET students.
Open Student Portal βKing Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College β commonly known as KSD TVET β is one of the largest TVET colleges in the Eastern Cape, serving the OR Tambo District Municipality from its main campus in Mthatha. Named after King Sabata Dalindyebo, the influential Thembu king, the college provides NC(V) (Levels 2β4) and NATED (N1βN6) qualifications to students across Mthatha, Libode, Ngcobo, Qumbu, and Mount Ayliff.
Like all public TVET colleges in South Africa, KSD TVET uses an online student portal where students can log in with their student number and PIN to view their official examination results, download their academic record, register for modules, and manage their student information.
This guide walks you through exactly how to use that portal β from logging in for the first time to troubleshooting the most common issues students encounter.
Go to ienabler.ksdcollege.edu.za. Use Google Chrome or Firefox on desktop, or Chrome/Safari on your phone. Avoid Internet Explorer or older browsers.
On the portal homepage, select the Student Login option. Do not click Staff Login β that section is only for lecturers and college employees.
Your student number is printed on your registration letter, student card, or proof of enrolment. It is typically 8β10 digits. Enter it exactly as shown β no spaces, dashes, or letters.
Your PIN was created when you first registered. If this is your first login, your default PIN is often your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format (e.g. 15 March 2002 = 15032002). Change it after logging in.
Select the correct academic year and semester from the dropdowns. If you are checking supplementary results, they may appear under a different semester code to your main exams.
Once you are logged in, the student portal gives you access to a range of academic and administrative functions β all in one place, without needing to visit the campus:
| Feature | Where to Find It | Available |
|---|---|---|
| View examination results | Student Enquiry β Examination Results | β Yes |
| Download academic record | Student Enquiry β Academic Record | β Yes |
| View exam timetable | Student Enquiry β Exam Timetable | β Yes |
| Module registration | Registration β Module Registration | Seasonal |
| View and pay student fees | Registration β Student Fees | β Yes |
| Update personal details | Student Administration β Personal Info | β Yes |
| Residence application | Residence β Residence Registration | Seasonal |
Check that your student number matches exactly what is on your registration letter. If you have never logged in before, try your date of birth as PIN (DDMMYYYY format). After three failed attempts the portal may lock your account β contact your campus admin office to unlock it.
The portal requires cookies to maintain your login session. Turn off private/incognito browsing mode. In Chrome, clear cookies and cached files with Ctrl+Shift+Delete, then reload the page. Also temporarily disable browser extensions like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.
Select the correct Academic Year (e.g. 2025) and Semester from the dropdown menus. Supplementary results appear under a different semester code. If no semester shows results, they have not been uploaded yet β check again in 24β48 hours.
This means the college's server is temporarily overloaded or under maintenance β this is common during result release periods when thousands of students log in simultaneously. Wait 20β30 minutes and try again. Early morning or late evening are usually less busy times.
There is no online PIN reset option on the KSD TVET student portal. To reset your PIN you must visit a campus in person:
You need a valid form of identification. Your student card is preferred. A green ID book or smart ID card is also accepted.
Any campus administration office can process a PIN reset. See the campus contact details below.
The officer will reset your PIN on the same day. You will receive a temporary PIN β log in and change it immediately to something only you know.
KSD TVET operates 5 campuses across the OR Tambo district municipality and surrounds. All campuses use the same student portal and student number system.

For NC(V) (National Certificate Vocational) subjects at NQF Levels 2, 3, and 4, you need a minimum of 40% in each subject (30% in the language component of Fundamental subjects) to pass and progress to the next level. NC(V) is a year-based system β failing any subject means repeating the entire level, not just the failed subject.
For NATED (Report 191) subjects at N1 to N6 level, you also need 40% to pass. NATED is more flexible β if you fail one subject, you only repeat that specific subject and keep your passes in all other subjects.
If you fail a subject in the main exam cycle, you may qualify to write a supplementary exam (usually in January/February for November exams). Even if you score higher, your recorded mark is capped at 40% by DHET policy. The supplementary exam is purely a pass/fail gateway.
Contact the KSD TVET Student Administration office at any campus within 30 days of results being published. Request a formal remark. There is a fee of approximately R100βR300 per subject, which is refunded if the remark improves your mark.
